Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the website located at https://gas-price-today.com ("Gas Price Today," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website or services.

2. Informational and Statistical Nature of Data

Statewide Averages Only: All fuel price metrics published on Gas Price Today represent aggregated statistical statewide, regional, and national retail averages. They do not represent a real-time contract, price quote, or guarantee of the retail pump price at any specific physical fuel filling station.

Individual station prices may diverge substantially from statewide averages due to localized brand positioning, municipal taxes, hyper-local transport costs, loyalty programs, and wholesale market spikes.

You should not rely solely upon these averages for legal, financial trading, or contractual fueling commitments without independent station verification.

3. Permissible Use & Citation Guidelines

We encourage journalists, educators, researchers, bloggers, and drivers to cite and reference our benchmark data. You are welcome to:

• Quote our national and state averages in articles, reports, and social media posts.
• Embed screenshots of our charts and interactive maps with visible attribution.
• Link directly to any state or trend page on gas-price-today.com.

Attribution Requirement: When quoting data from Gas Price Today in published materials, please provide a clear citation and an active hyperlink back to Gas Price Today.

4. Prohibited Uses & Automated Access

You agree not to:

• Use automated scraping bots, spiders, or scripts at a request rate that degrades site performance or consumes excessive edge compute resources.
• Circumvent or attempt to tamper with rate-limiting, security controls, or Cloudflare edge protections.
• Mirror, frame, or clone substantial portions of the site without prior written consent.
• Misrepresent data from this site as real-time guaranteed fuel quotes.

5. Third-Party Trademarks & Non-Affiliation

Any third-party trademarks, service marks, logos, and survey names referenced on this site (including but not limited to AAA, OPIS, EIA, U.S. Department of Energy, and GasBuddy) remain the exclusive property of their respective trademark holders.

Gas Price Today is an independent digital publication. Reference to any third-party names, products, or survey standards does not constitute an endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation by those organizations.
